Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Offer Custom Items?

My custom commissions are closed.

I See a Pendant on Instagram That I Want to Purchase But I Can't Find It On Your Website

If you don't see it under the "Shop" tab then that means it is no longer available. My website is the only place that I offer my jewelry for purchase and items oftentimes go fast. Every jewelry piece is unique and one of a kind so it is best to snag the one you like when it is available since there won't be another one like it.

How Do I Know When New Items Will Be Available?

I try to give at least a 48 hour notice when new items are going to be available. You can subscribe to my emails to get this notice right in your inbox or follow me on social media. My Instagram page @wild.eye.alchemy is where I keep the most up to date info and images.

How Do I See More Of Your Work?

Follow me on social media to see the all new and previous works of art. My Instagram @wild.eye.alchemy is the best place to see pendants, behind the scenes and work in progress videos.

Jewelry Care

Copper Care

All my copper jewelry items come pre antiqued so the metal has been darkened for aesthetics. This means that it doesn't require any polishing as it will naturally do so if it comes in contact with skin often. It is best to avoid getting copper wet however if your pendant is starting to get a bit dirty you can give it a wash in mild soap and water. Copper is a metal known to turn skin green with wear. This is not based on the quality of the metal but rather it is a natural reaction to the salt from skin mixing with the copper. It is harmless and washes off with soap and water. I put a clear coat on the back of all my copper jewelry to help keep this from happening. If you notice this happens often you can put a small amount of clear nail polish on the areas where the item touches skin and that will typically alleviate the coloring.

Silver and Gold Care

Precious metal jewelry pieces come with a Sunshine brand polishing cloth. Simply rub the cloth over the pendant and rinse off with mild soap and water. Pat dry with a towel to avoid any water discoloring. To clean an item without a polishing cloth a great option is common household baking soda. Pour a small amount into a dish and add a couple small droplets of water so that you get a thick paste. Rub the paste onto the jewelry until you see a shine. Simply rinse and pat dry.

***

I always recommend avoiding swimming, showering or sleeping in your jewelry. These are the most likely ways to accidentally damage or loose your wearable art piece.

Please NEVER use a wax polish on your wire jewelry. The wax will embed into the weaves and it is impossible to clean it out.
